There aren't many 3D motor racing sims that come anywhere near the standard of a console racer, but Snow Rally City Stage is part of that rare breed that do.
Snow Rally City Stage sees you whiz through stunningly-rendered city streets on a quest for speed. There are only three courses to choose from (all of them in Canada) but each has been lovingly created with great attention to detail. In fact, in some places the graphics in Snow Rally City Stage are almost too detailed and the sheer amount of stuff on screen at one time can make it difficult to see where you're going at times.
Controlling Snow Rally City Stage is very straightforward assuming you have a basic grasp of the direction keys, and the animation of the cars is surprisingly smooth. The advanced opponent AI makes it tricky to pass other vehicles, but this only serves to prolong the challenge.
Another cool feature of Snow Rally City Stage is its video replay feature, where you can watch your race back from a variety of angles. Again, the animation here is slick and it's perfect for analyzing your strengths and weaknesses.
There's no question that Snow Rally City Stage is a great mobile driving sim. It would be nice to see a few more courses in there now.
